Oh my god, hot rumors hit the Penny Dreadful desk today - Apparently the goss is that Karl Lagerfeld is about to announce his retirement from Chanel. The announcement is rumored to be coming after KL's 30th anniversary at Chanel. There is plenty of speculation about who will succeed the Chanel throne - Apparently it's Alber Elbaz from Lanvin. So we will have to wait until 2012 to see if it's true or not.
All I know is that every few years this rumor surfaces. I'm not holding my breath....although it's interesting....
