My 2018 Oscar Nominee Picks & Predictions

Every year since I started my blog in 2014, I've shared a series of posts relating to the Oscars. These posts encompass my takeaways from the announced nominations, my ceremony predictions, and a post including my thoughts on the winners. However, I'd like to introduce a new annual post where I share a list of my hypothetical nominees as well as my predictions for tomorrow's announced nominations. Essentially, I'll break each category down into my personal picks and my predictions. My personal picks are my hypothetical ballots for each category. This listing would be totally impractical for the purposes of predicting tomorrow's nominees, but I thought it would be fun to share. Since I've already shared my Top 10 Films of 2017, I'll do my best to objectively select ten films that I feel to be deserving of the honor rather than repeating my list of ten favorites films from last year. Also, keep in mind that my personal picks are only including films I've seen so I still have yet to see The Florida Project, Mudbound, and a couple other contenders. In regards to the predictions, I'll just be taking my best stab at what I feel will be recognized tomorrow. I'll probably be wrong often, but it will be fun to see how close I get at accurately guessing the nominees.
